UK standard length for 4ft6 double is only 6ft3 (or 190cm in metric). Many people now require an extra long bed. It is more and more common for people to look online for extra long beds or just a long bed or mattress and they are not just for tall teenagers although this seems to be the trend recently.

Another common request for us is from customers who have purchased a bed from Ikea only to discover the mattress is European size (longer or wider than UK standard). We are able to provide an extra long mattress from stock and this is usually just a case of confirming the exact size required. If we don't have one in stock we can get one made to order very quickly.
